  1. I have an upcoming project that requires hoisting. Will someone come meet with me and assess the scope of the project? Answer: Yes – It is vital to our operations that the correct equipment is dispatched for specific hoisting situations. Therefore, we are happy to meet with clients on location in advance, to discuss the full scope of lifting and develop the safest and most efficient plan. This service is complimentary, in and around Winnipeg.

  2. What type of hoisting services do you offer? Answer: If it needs to be lifted or moved – we will do our best to make that happen. We serve both private and commercial clients, in all areas of construction, maintenance, and special projects.

  3. How long have you been in business? Answer: Mr. Boomtruck was started in 1995 and operated one Boomtruck. Over the last 2 ½ decades we have grown and expanded our fleet and services to serve our loyal client base in Winnipeg and the surrounding area.

  4. I am planning to build a house, are you able to provide hoisting services on my project? Answer: Certainly, in residential construction we are often involved in many stages of a build such as:
    • lifting concrete forms from the basement
    • craning in basement beams
    • placing floor joists and material
    • standing tall walls
    • lifting / placing trusses
    • hoisting shingles
    • telehandler for window installation
    • placing landscape boulders
    • placing spas / swim spas
  5. Do you lift hot tubs? Answer: Yes – an increasingly popular choice by many families today is to add a hot tub or swim spa to the back yard. We have extensive experience lifting and placing spas, swim spas, and even pools into your backyard. This option can be more efficient, and less invasive than removing fencing or landscaping to manually move the spa into the yard.

  6. What is the Spyder Crane? Answer: The Spyder Crane is a unique addition to our fleet- that allows us to offer hoisting in smaller spaces that my not typically be accessible with a traditional Boomtruck or knuckle boom. It can fit through a 24” wide doorway which allows for work indoors as well.

  7. I have a shed I would like re-located – Is this something that can be done? Answer: This is a question we get asked a lot. Although not always economically feasible – we are happy to visit the location(s), assess the scope of work, work with clients to determine whether the project is worth it for them.

  8. Do you do non-commercial work – for private individuals? Answer: We certainly do. Private jobs are a significant part of what has helped us grow. It also allows us to keep an important personal connection with many clients.

  10. What is the Hammar Side Loader? Answer: The Side Loader is a specialized trailer designed for loading / transporting / offloading shipping containers. We are proud to be one of the first to bring this concept of container handling into Canada. It offers extremely efficient container handling with loaded or empty shipping containers.
